Von Mark Cruz

Dr. Von Mark Cruz is a plant breeder and geneticist for Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Eloy, AZ. Mark conducts research on use of molecular markers in guayule as well as other technologies with potential impact to improving rubber content and abiotic stress tolerance of the crop and discriminating among germplasm. He is a licensed commercial drone pilot responsible for aerial survey operations at Bridgestone. He received his PhD in Plant Breeding from Iowa State University under the Fulbright Scholarship Program of the U.S. Department of State.
