Umakanta Jena

Dr. Umakanta Jena is an Assistant Professor in Chemical and Materials Engineering Department at the New Mexico State University. Before joining NMSU, he was an Assistant Research Professor in Renewable Energy at the Desert Research Institute. He received his PhD in Biological and Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia. Dr. Jena’s teaching and research interests include the thermochemical processing of biomass and organic wastes for generation of fuels and value-added co-products.
