Margaret Strand
Camino Real Middle School, New Mexico
Ms. Strand is currently a Science Middle School Educator in Las Cruces, New Mexico but spent the first 17 years of her career in Southern California, also teaching middle school science. She is very excited to be part of the SBAR Project as the mission is very dear to her heart. The SBAR topics covered in her classes range from soil compilation, to water as a resource, to farming techniques used by farmers in the region. The students work closely with a graduate student from New Mexico State University who has taught them so much about guar and guayule.
