Hailey Summers

Hailey is a PhD student at Colorado State University researching sustainability of agriculture, bioprocessing and food-related systems through life cycle (LCA) and techno-economic analyses (TEA). Within SBAR, she is developing LCA and TEA models for the conversion of guar to high-valued products. Hailey completed her B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Utah State University and spent two years off before pursuing her PhD. During this time, she strengthened her appreciation for the natural environment and sustainability through various backpacking trips and bike tours.
