Researchers Visit Engineering Labs
SBAR researchers, engineers and students met in early March at one of the University of Arizona’s Chemical Engineering labs in Tucson, Arizona to finalize new research plans. Natural rubber and the potential value-added products generated by guayule were part of the discussion to help achieve the Characterizations and Co-Products goal to “identify economic co-products in guayule and guar”. Once co-products are identified and a process for extraction is determined, data captured will inform economic models used for determining commercial viability.
